Terms of Service

Welcome to Club Docket ("Club Docket", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service — whether through our website or our iOS / Android mobile applications — you ("you", "User") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a general Club Docket account. To enter tournaments, leagues, or any contest involving a paid entry fee or a cash prize pool, you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and legally able to form a binding contract. Use of the service is void where prohibited by law.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials safe. Notify us immediately at support@clubdocket.com of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you post (posts, replies, photos, scores, comments — collectively, "User Content"). You grant Club Docket a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for format), display, and distribute that User Content as necessary to operate and promote the service. You represent that you own or have the rights to post the User Content you submit.

4. Acceptable use & zero-tolerance policy

Club Docket enforces a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You may not post or transmit content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, infringes intellectual-property rights, or violates the privacy of others. You may not impersonate any person, attempt to disrupt or probe the service, or use the service for spam, fraud, or illegal gambling.

Every post, message, profile, and forum reply includes a Report and Block control. We review reports within 24 hours and remove violating content and terminate the accounts of users who post it.

5. Payments & refunds

Payments (entry fees, prize-pool transfers, premium subscriptions) are processed by Stripe, Inc. Platform fees and processing fees are disclosed before you confirm a transaction. Tournament refund eligibility is governed by our Official Contest Rules. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Contests, tournaments & prizes

Skill-based golf contests offered through Club Docket are operated by the Host Club shown on the contest page. The full eligibility, scoring, payout, sponsor, and dispute-resolution terms appear in our Official Contest Rules, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is soft for 7 days, after which your account and User Content are permanently removed (except records we must retain by law, such as payment history). We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for any violation of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Club Docket, its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD, or (b) the amount you paid to Club Docket in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Club Docket and its officers, employees, affiliates, and partners from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Apple App Store — additional terms

If you obtained the Club Docket mobile app through the Apple App Store, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of this agreement, and govern in case of conflict:

• These Terms are entered into between you and Club Docket only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app. Any claim or refund related to the failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty may be addressed to Apple, who may refund the purchase price.
• Club Docket — not Apple — is solely responsible for any product warranties, product liability, third-party claims (including intellectual-property infringement claims), and legal compliance.
• You represent that you are not located in any country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and Club Docket agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York, for any dispute that cannot be resolved through informal contact with us first. Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
